Flattened Glass Bottles

Last week I found these flattened bottles at one of my suppliers. I bought 1 to see what I could do with it. I turned mine into a spoon rest for the kitchen...and I love it!!

You need a large flattened bottle, some scrapbooking paper & modeg podge.

This morning I went to collect my stock & we now have 3 different sizes in stock at www.shoestringscrapbooking.co.za

Large Flattened Bottle 29cm x 13.5cm

Medium Flattened Bottle 20.5cm x 10cm

Small Flattened Bottle 17cm x 8cm

I'm working on a couple of other ideas for these bottles & will share them with you soon.

Challenge # 5 - Keep Calm and...

This is the challenge at Scrap Africa

Off course all of you are familiar with this type of posters:

(the image is taken from Pinterest)

You will need to create any scrap project (a layout, a card or an altered object) with a phrase on it "Keep Calm and..." - the end of the phrase is up to you. Be funny, be creative, be thoughtful - whatever the mood you are in, as long as you spread the calmness around :-)))

If you will decide to create a poster featuring a phrase, make sure you think of something innovative and interesting: 

It must not be just plain letters on the plain background!

I'm very proud of the scissors I made & they took me a whole afternoon to stitch. I'm just not sure how I managed to used a whole role of cotton??? LOL!!!

Worlds Greatest Dad - Fathers Day Gift Idea No1

I covered an old tin with some denim, used 3 cards from Glitz Whatnot Scarlett & Simple Stories Expression card-stock stickers for Worlds Greatest Dad. I used Purple Turtle double sided tape to stick the denim onto the tin & I also used this double sided tape to stick down my cards.

A Card For Dad - Kids Class

I have started working on Fathers day card & gift ideas. This is the 1st card I have made for Fathers day 2012.

Class Date: Saturday 9 June 2012

Time: 9am to 12pm

Class Fee: R35 per child. Includes all materials

Class will be held in Hartbeesfontein.

Ages 6 & up
